To celebrate Science, Technology and ICT week, Mrs Moore's class carried out a science investigation. We wanted to investigate the effect of salt on ice. We predicted that the salt would help the ice melt quicker! We trapped some Arctic animals in balloons filled with water and froze them overnight. We used salt to help the ice melt and free the Arctic animals. We looked closely at what was happening using our magnifying glasses and then we drew a picture of what had happened. The salt sped up the melting process. Our predictions were right! Well done P2.
