St. Mary's secure Erasmus Plus funding!

17th Nov 2016

Inspiring @Museart project made possible after securing Erasmus+ funding.

We are delighted to have  received funding from the British Council to complete a new Erasmus + project in 2016 - 2019, with our partner schools in Estonia, Italy, Sweden, Uk, Spain, Bugaria, Croatia and Ireland.  @Museart is a cultural and art based project with our partner schools in Europe. The project will allow staff and pupils involved to gain vital skills and an insight into the culture of our partner schools across Europe. Erasmus+ is the European Union’s (EU) programme for education, training, youth and sport, with the EU committing £12 billion to the programme between 2014 and 2020.  Our project is funded under Key Action 2 of the Erasmus + programme. Erasmus+ provides funding for organisations to offer opportunities to students, teachers and others to modernise education and training and to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and employability.

As part of the @Museart project, some  P7 children planned and created logos for our project.  The logos will be uploaded to our shared Erasmus + project page so that our partner schools can view and share our unique logos with their staff and pupils.  A final logo will then be chosen to represent the project. Well done to all involved with this part of our project.
