Bags of Love in St Mary's

11th Feb 2022

Our celebration of Children’s Mental Health Week draws to a close today, but that does not mean that we will stop focusing on promoting a healthy and happy mind-set in our classroom environment.

The staff in St Mary’s are forever committed to the endorsement of positive thinking and the approaches used to develop our children’s emotional and mental well-being.

We will continue to concentrate on how our pupils think, feel and behave; we will offer advice and support, and we will work in partnership with our parents, to ensure every child in our school can access the strategies needed to cope with life experiences.

The committee of our PTA were keen to contribute to the celebrations this week. All the children were presented with a “bag filled with love.” Each of the little bags contained a packet of sunflower seeds, instructions how to grow the seeds into flowers, and a packet of love heart sweets. The PTA wanted to express its gratitude to our parents and pupils for their unwavering support, and hope that this small gesture will demonstrate how much each child is valued and loved.
