Inspired by Autumn! Primary 2 Mrs Quigley

14th Oct 2016

In Primary 2, the children are encouraged to use their senses to explore the world around them. They are expected to show curiosity, ask questions and find out. The acquisition of new knowledge and skills takes place naturally on a daily basis. it is the role of the adult to provide quality stimuli to encourage active learning and high levels of engagement.

Autumn is a season of colour, change and beauty: plants and animals are preparing for winter. The boys and girls have been finding out how hedgehogs and squirrels adapt to the seasonal climate and why the leaves on the trees change colour, die and fall off.

In this gallery, the photos demonstrate how the pupils experienced a variety of resources to enhance learning.
