iRock Music Visit – A Rocking Day to Remember!
Today, our school was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed iRock, a music company that brings the joy of rock music to schools across the country. Pupils in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One had the chance to experience what it’s like to be in a real rock band.
During the visit, the children were introduced to different instruments including the electric guitar, keyboard, drums, and microphone. With the help of Jordan, a member of the iRock team, they learned how each instrument works and even got to try them out themselves. The sessions were energetic, fun, and full of smiles as the children played music together and discovered their inner rock stars.
iRock’s mission is to make music exciting and accessible for all children. They offer weekly lessons where pupils form their own bands, learn to play real instruments, and perform together – building confidence, teamwork, and a love for music.
The visit ended with a mini performance that had everyone clapping and cheering. It was a brilliant introduction to music-making, and many children left inspired to join an iRock band in school.
