P5 had a fantastic time visiting Parkanaur Forest Park, Dungannon. The children explored the forest trail, using clues to search for animals that live along the river. Highlights of the trip included spotting the rare white deer, taking part in a 'river race' using twigs and visiting the impressive stalagmite arch. Pupils even created water wheels using protractors and went pond dipping with nets. The day was made even more enjoyable with some rare sunshine! A big thank you to Stephen, Sue and Rhianna for facilitating such a wonderful and engaging learning experience for our pupils!
