Congratulations to our St Mary’s football team on reaching the final of the South Down competition against St Mary's Newcastle. Unfortunately, after a tight final the boys were defeated 3-1 on penalties.
In the Evo tournament last week, for the first time, St Mary's entered a P5 team, who managed to hold their own against boys from P6 and P7. Winning 1 game and drawing 2 out of the five played. All the boys did very well.
A special mention to Brógán McArdle, Fionn McGrath and Ollie McCart in our A team and Mark McKeown, Shane McCrum and Teddy Hodgen, and in particular to Louie Magennis who was named goalkeeper of the tournament. All the players in our 5 Team played brilliantly all day considering this was their first tournament.
Thank you to Mr Devlin for helping with the teams and to Paul Evans for organising the EVO tournament.
